About JFL
We offer a Japanese as a Foreign Language (JFL) program every Saturday morning. Classes are taught by a native Japanese speaker. There are three levels:
Beginner: Basic Introductory course focused on basic Japanese language using Genki I, and casual conversation with native speakers. Opportunity to challenge: Kanji Aptitude Test Level 10 and/or Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 5 & 4
Intermediate / Advanced: In-depth study using Genki II and conversation practice alongside native Japanese speakers. Opportunity to challenge: Kanji Aptitude Test Level 9・8 and/or Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 3 & 2
Enrollment Eligibility
Anyone 18 years or older who wants to learn Japanese is eligibile to enroll. No prior knowledge of Japanese is required for the beginner class.
Tuition
Enrollment fee: $50
Tuition: $70/month
*Tuition will be collected twice per year (January – June and August – December)
Schedule
Beginner: 9:00am – 10:30am
Intermediate/Advanced: 10:30am – 12:00pm
*No classes in July due to summer break
Location
To protect our students’ privacy, we do not publish the exact location of our school on this website. However, the school is located within a 30-minute radius of the Overland Park area. Please contact us for the exact location.
